Jieyun Temple is located on Ximen Street in Banqiao District and primarily worships Guanyin Buddha. Its predecessor was 'Ciyunyan' (Ciyun Rock Temple), which was founded at Shibihu in Zhonghe during the Yongzheng era. If its history is traced from that time, it is already over two hundred years old. In the third year of Xianfeng (1853), Ciyunyan was burned down by people from Quanzhou. In the sixth year of Xianfeng (1856), it was welcomed by Lin Guofang of Banqiao and relocated to the northwest corner of Banqiao City. Later, due to the construction of the Lin Benyuan Mansion, it was moved again to its current site to build a temple for worship. Since then, Jieyun Temple has replaced the former Ciyunyan as the spiritual center of the thirteen Baichie villages (now including areas such as Banqiao, Zhonghe, Yonghe, and Tucheng).
