In the Atayal language, 'Wulai' refers to hot, bubbling spring water, making Wulai Hot Spring an essential part of the Atayal people's lives. The main areas where Wulai Hot Springs are found include Zhongzhi Village, the vicinity of Liansheng Bridge, and Xiluo'an. The spring water is a sodium bicarbonate spring, known for its exfoliating and metabolism-boosting properties. After bathing, it can make the skin soft, supple, and fair, earning it the reputation of being a 'Beauty Hot Spring'.
