Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area

The Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area is located in the northeastern corner of Taiwan. It stretches north from Nanya Village, Ruifang District, New Taipei City, and south to the cape south of Neipi Beach in Su'ao Township, Yilan County. The coastline is 102.5 kilometers long, and the total sea and land area (including Guishan Island) is 17,421 hectares. The Northeast Coast is characterized by mountains alongside the sea, with numerous bays and capes. It features rugged, unique rock formations and towering cliffs, spectacular sea-eroded landforms, soft golden beaches, and vibrant marine ecosystems. It also preserves simple, rustic cultural and historical sites, making it a comprehensive tourist destination that combines the educational function of a natural classroom with the emotional charm of a coastal playground.
