New Taipei City Gold Museum

With Jinguashi's mining history and gold as its core themes, the Gold Museum integrates the settlement patterns, mining history, local culture, and ecological landscape of the Jinguashi area. It is the first museum in Taiwan based on the eco-museum concept. Since its opening in November 2004, the museum has consistently upheld the 'eco-museum' philosophy, dedicating itself to sustainable resource management and eco-tourism. Concurrently, by combining community efforts, it hopes to properly preserve the precious natural ecology, mining heritage sites, scenic landscapes, historical memories, and cultural assets of the Jinguashi and Shuinandong areas, thereby giving them a new look.
