Neidong National Forest Recreation Area

The Neidong National Forest Recreation Area is located in Naxiaohu, Wulai. It covers a total area of approximately 1191.34 hectares, with elevations ranging from about 230 to 800 meters above sea level. Within the park, there are three rivers: Nanshi River, Neidong River, and Wusha River. The river ecosystem is a distinct feature of the park, which also boasts three trails: the Waterfall Viewing Trail, the Forest Bathing Trail, and the Scenic Trail. The Neidong Forest Recreation Area is rich in moisture, and its natural ecology is well-preserved. Every year around late spring and early summer, during the mating season for frogs and insects, the forest comes alive with loud calls, like "calling for spring," to attract mates. For this reason, it is also known as 'Wawa Valley'.
