Dragon Boat Rock Trail

The entrance to the "Dragon Boat Rock Trail" is at No. 62 Bishan Road, Neihu District. Following the stone slab path, the trail is only 600 meters long and is an excellent place to observe ecology along the way. "Dragon Boat Rock" is located below the ridge of Kaiyan Mountain. It is an exposed white quartz rock formation, with an elevation of 300 meters. Because it resembles a dragon boat, locals call it "Stone Boat" or "Dragon Boat Rock." As Dragon Boat Rock is situated on a mountain ridge, standing on the rock means one side is a 90-degree cliff and the other is a 45-degree precipice. Please be mindful of your safety. Nearby mountains such as Kaiyan Mountain, Bishan Mountain, Baishihu Mountain, and Wuzhi Mountain are all peaks within Neihu District, belonging to the Wuzhi Mountain Range. There is a bus stop near Dragon Boat Rock that can take you close to the entrance. After alighting at Shikan Station, it's approximately a one-kilometer walk to reach the trailhead. The trail's path is paved with stone slabs, and various ferns and wild plants grow abundantly along the way, adding to the enjoyment of the walk. Continuing straight will lead you to the summit. Standing atop the rock, you can gaze upon Shikan Mountain and Kaiyan Mountain in the distance, with a vast and open sky that makes you want to linger, far from the urban hustle and bustle.
