LOHAS Park

Donghu LOHAS Park is located beside Kangle Street and Lane 61 of Kangle Street, on the north bank of Neigou Creek. It was developed as a parking lot by the Public Works Department in Minguo 92 (2003), then redeveloped into its current park land in Minguo 99 (2010), and completed and opened in March, Minguo 100 (2011). The park covers an area of about 1 hectare and is an urban park with lush greenery, suitable for families of all ages to relax on weekends or in the afternoons. Donghu LOHAS Park is adjacent to residential areas, with Donghu Junior High School and Donghu Elementary School nearby. It's about a 10-minute walk from Donghu MRT Station, making it very convenient to reach by MRT or bus. At the end of Donghu Road, turn onto Kangle Street, and the green space to the left of the prominent "Neigou Creek" sign is LOHAS Park. Adjacent to LOHAS Park, along the Neigou Creek embankment, there is the Neigou Creek Cherry Blossom Trail, which has been diligently planted and maintained by the local borough chief and residents. It currently features over a hundred cherry trees, including 'Fuyu-zakura' (winter cherry) and 'Wushe-zakura' (Wushe cherry), which bloom sequentially in February and March. Since Minguo 103 (2014), every cherry blossom season has attracted large crowds, making it a highly searched-for spot online, truly a hidden gem in the urban jungle. LOHAS Park features both community activity spaces and green landscapes. Facilities within the park include a children's playground for climbing and playing, rest pavilions for community residents to gather and chat, fitness equipment for relaxation and stretching, and open spaces for various activities, as well as winding paths that allow visitors to enjoy the surrounding lush greenery.
