Neihu Reclamation Park

The park is situated with Qixing Mountain to its north and the Keelung River to its south, stretching from Nanhu Bridge in the east to Anmei Street in the west, covering an area of approximately 10 hectares. It comprises a flat area and a small hill, about 40 meters high, which was deliberately preserved during the initial clearing project. This allows the public to witness firsthand how the nation's first landfill has transformed into a beautiful reclamation park – a regenerated urban lung – and has contributed to restoring the cleanliness of the Keelung River. The park is divided into a reforestation zone, a recreation zone, and a high-tide riverbank area. The recreation zone features amenities such as the Sun Lawn, an activity plaza, a scenic plaza, a 'Vision Frame' photo spot, and an observation deck. The Sun Lawn alone spans over 10,000 square meters, equivalent to 1.5 football fields, offering visitors a space to relax, gaze at the blue sky, or run and play. Boasting a rich natural ecosystem, the park is home to over 162 plant species and more than 41 animal species. Trees and shrubs like *Macaranga tanarius* and *Debregeasia edulis* attract flocks of birds to make Neihu Reclamation Park their habitat. Following the ecological trails, visitors can enjoy the scenery, and from the observation deck, they can even behold the iconic Taipei 101 skyscraper, with panoramic views of Taipei unfolding before their eyes.
