The Songshan area was historically known as "Xikou" during the Qianlong era. The Xikou Ferry Port, located at Water Gate No. 4 on Songhe Street, has been a hub for north-south trade and cargo distribution since ancient times. It once flourished and became the foundational port for the development of Xikou culture in the Songshan area. In 2009, to extend the Blue Highway route, the Taipei City Government completed the construction of Xikou Pier on December 15th. They also renovated the surrounding embankment and the overall landscape of the waterfront promenade, connecting Xikou Pier with the pedestrian path leading to Emergency Exit No. 4. Furthermore, Xikou Pier is close to distinctive attractions such as Rainbow Bridge, Songshan Ciyou Temple, and Raohe Street Tourist Night Market. Offering food and entertainment, it will become another new tourist landmark in your heart.
