Visitor Essentials
This cycling path, built along Yanping Riverside Park starting from Dadaocheng Wharf, allows you to visit neighboring cultural heritage sites while cycling. It offers a balanced leisure activity where you can both strengthen your body and immerse yourself in cultural enlightenment. Nearby famous cultural and tourist attractions include Dihua Street, Xiahai City God Temple, Lin Liu-Hsin Puppet Theatre Museum, Taipei Confucius Temple (towards Jiuquan Street), and Baoan Temple, offering a rich cultural experience. Scenery along the way includes Dadaocheng Wharf Coffee Plaza, Tangshan sailing boat sculptures, wharf arch bridges, and distant views of the Tamsui River. It also connects with the 'Blue Highway' ferry routes, allowing you to take your bicycle to Guandu Wharf, or even Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf and Bali Left Bank, to enjoy diverse riverside recreational fun. After Huajiang Bridge, this cycling path enters the banks of the Xindian River. Multiple bridges crossing the Xindian River can further lead you to the Dahan River cycling paths. The abundance of surrounding buildings further highlights the preciousness of this riverside park. The scenery along the Xindian River and Dahan River banks evokes a sense of 'green spaces within the city.' This long stretch of riverside park passes through Yingge, Tucheng, Banqiao, Zhonghe and Yonghe, and Xindian. From October to March each year, you can also admire migratory geese, ducks, and protected migratory birds, combining recreation, fitness, and culinary delights, making for a fulfilling and enriching day of cycling.
