Xinsheng South Road is renowned as the "Road to Heaven" due to the concentration of numerous religious institutions, including churches, temples, Buddhist shrines, and places of worship. From south to north, these include Grace Church, Truth Church, Taipei Grand Mosque, Holy Family Church, Taipei Church, and Wesley Methodist Church, among others. Each of these diverse religious sites, all situated on Xinsheng South Road, possesses unique characteristics that make them well worth visiting. The Holy Family Church is located opposite Daan Forest Park. From an aerial perspective, it appears cross-shaped, and at night, when illuminated, it emits a soft white glow, creating a noble, pure atmosphere that draws people closer to God. The church stands approximately 63 feet tall. Its tent-like architectural style, free of pillars and beams, eliminates feelings of spatial oppression and visual obstruction. This design aims to help individuals quiet their minds, engage in spiritual contemplation, and uplift their spirits. Inside, the clever use of stained glass and natural light imbues the Holy Family Church with a naturally sacred ambiance, akin to entering a holy sanctuary where worldly worries can be swept away. Eighteen stained-glass panels, depicting Bible stories and over a century old, were transported from Belgium in 1998. These are the works of the renowned French artist Li Weike. At the bottom of each panel, explanations for the depicted Bible stories are provided, offering both knowledge and beautiful artistry for visitors to appreciate.
