Yang Ming Marine Culture and Art Museum

Introduction Its predecessor was the 'Keelung Branch Office' of Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line), completed in 1915. After World War II, it was taken over by the Nationalist Government of the Republic of China and handed over to the modern shipping company China Merchants Steam Navigation Company. In 1972, China Merchants Steam Navigation Company spun off to establish Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation. Today, the museum combines Keelung's history with marine culture, presenting maritime knowledge in diverse ways to help everyone understand the daily lives of Keelung's maritime workers. Features The Yang Ming Marine Culture and Art Museum showcases marine culture and humanistic art. It offers an edutainment approach to learning about ship structures, ocean knowledge, and other topics, with exhibitions changing periodically.
