Sheliao Tianhou Temple

-Attraction Overview- Sheliao Tianhou Temple, located on Heping Island, boasts a long history, blending Southern Min architectural features with exquisite carvings and colorful paintings. It serves as a spiritual center and cultural landmark for local residents.-Attraction Features-Sheliao Tianhou Temple is also known as 'Sheliao Mazu Jian' (Sheliao Mazu Temple) and was originally named 'Dajilong Port Tianhou Temple'. It is a spiritual center for residents of Heping Island and one of the oldest Mazu Temples in Northern Taiwan. It primarily enshrines Mazu from Meizhou, with Fude Zhengshen (God of Wealth and Earth) on the left and Shuixian Zunwang (Water Immortal Kings) on the right. The temple's structure was built by Master Chen Ah-man from Yilan, while the wood carvings were completed by folk master Huang Gui-li and Master A-tu from Yilan, each working on different sections.
