Since the Japanese occupation era, many Hakka people from Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Miaoli moved here to cultivate tobacco. To this day, Ji'an has become the township with the largest Hakka population in Hualien. A cultural park, integrating the imagery of Hakka tung blossoms, has been established here. In addition to two exhibition halls introducing the history of Yoshino Village and Hakka culture, the park also features a century-old camphor tree, the Yoshino Shrine Dedication Monument, and the Yoshino Land Development and Village Founding Monument, all bearing witness to the past years.
