Lintianshan Forestry Cultural Park

Stepping into the Lintianshan Forestry Cultural Park today, visitors can still feel the atmosphere of the logging camp from back then. In addition to the rugged tracks and machinery, the wooden buildings built into the mountainside are remarkably well-preserved. The strong nostalgic Japanese ambiance reveals a softer, more elegant side of the Lintianshan logging camp. Zhongshan Hall, located in the center of the park, served as the spiritual sanctuary for logging camp employees in its early days. Currently, two Japanese-made film projectors are still preserved for visitors to see. Back then, Zhongshan Hall would show 2 to 3 movies every week, which was a sensational event for the entire logging camp. As soon as a pink notice was posted on the bulletin board, crowds would flock in, often packing Zhongshan Hall to capacity. Thanks to the joint efforts of the government and cultural and historical workers, Lintianshan has preserved a wealth of cultural resources. Not only are antique wooden buildings, railways, and large machinery preserved, but a forestry cultural relics exhibition hall has also been established, serving as a testament to its past history.
