Meilun Mountain Park

The overall development of Meilun Mountain Park Sports and Recreation Area allows local residents and tourists visiting Hualien to enjoy nature's green mountains and clear waters, along with spaces for exercise and fitness. Meilun Mountain makes Hualien City a 'breathing city,' offering large lawns for recreation, winding trails for ascending the mountain, and beautiful sea views to admire from afar. Meilun Mountain is part of a subtropical forest ecosystem, characterized by abundant rainfall, a warm climate, and low-density development, thus preserving its lush green forests where flora and fauna continuously thrive. The Martyrs' Shrine to the south offers a panoramic view of Hualien City from its elevated position. Next to the entrance, the Meilun Mountain Ecological Exhibition Hall displays ecological slides of various insects like fireflies, crickets, and butterflies, making it an outdoor learning venue for elementary schools across Hualien. Additionally, Meilun Mountain has numerous hiking trails.
