Baqi Lookout

Baqi Lookout is located at the 31.5 km mark of Provincial Highway 11, a rare high vantage point on the coastal highway. The highway here forms a perfect hairpin turn, with lush green mountains on one side and a vast blue ocean on the other, offering exceptionally beautiful and stunning scenery. Baqi Lookout has a rest area. From the lookout within the rest area, looking south, the view is excellent, allowing visitors to see Jizaki Bay, Gueihou Cape, and Xinshe Sea Cliff, forming a unique coastal landscape with distinct layers. Below the observation deck, there is a boardwalk approximately 100 meters long. At the end of the boardwalk is a cool, shaded grassy platform where visitors can relax, escape the heat, and listen to the pleasant chirping of cicadas and birds from the mountains. Continuing along the coastal highway for about 60 meters, there is another small rest area. 'Shimen Banshao Cape' (Stone Gate Sentry Post Cape) gets its name from its past as a coastal defense sentry post. After renovation, it has become a small scenic spot with beautiful views and convenient parking. The double-heart sculpture in the small plaza is a popular photo spot for visitors.
