Chike Mountain

Chike Mountain, famous for its chike trees during the Japanese colonial period, stands at an altitude of approximately 900 meters. Its unique soil and climate have made it the cradle of abundant daylily production in Yuli Township. Every summer, when the yellow daylilies bloom profusely, visitors are drawn to this scenic spot, which is further enhanced by the unique 'Three Chike Sceneries' found within the area. Three black 'igneous boulders' are embedded in the vast carpet of flowers, and when sunlight falls upon them, they resemble sparkling black gems. The old, half-wooden 'Wang Family Ancient House' chronicles the long years of settlement and cultivation by refugees from the August 7th Flood. During the flower season, lucky visitors can even witness firsthand the fascinating sight of daylilies drying on the roof of the ancient house.
