Shortly after heading south from Jizi, you will pass through the Xinjizi Tunnel, which cuts through a cliff face. Next to the tunnel is the 'Qinbuzih Cliff', as it was known in the past. Originally, it was a path wide enough for only one person to pass at a time. Its narrow path and steep cliffs were well-known for their treacherous terrain. Legend has it that an Amis woman, carrying her child, was walking along this section of the cliff. Due to extreme tension, after scrambling over the cliff, she suddenly realized her child was gone. From then on, this place became known as the 'Qinbuzih Cliff' (Parents Don't Know Child Cliff). The 'Qinbuzih Sea Ancient Trail' is 150 meters long and 50 meters above sea level. It is located next to the Xinjizi Tunnel in Fengbin Township, Hualien County. Visitors traveling along the Hualien-Taitung coastline will surely pass by this extremely popular attraction.
