Heading south past Jih-chi Coastal Recreation Area, the parking lot by the road is the trailhead for Dashi'bi Mountain. The trail has two entrances/exits, one to the north and one to the south, both connecting to Provincial Highway 11. Dashi'bi Mountain hiking trail is 910 meters long, mostly composed of sleeper and stone steps. Along the way, there are mileage markers and shaded rest pavilions with seating. If the weather is hot, you can first visit the newly opened southern entrance to refill with cool water from a vending machine before heading onto the trail. The Dashi'bi Mountain Rest Area is well-planned overall, and the scenery from the observation deck is very therapeutic. The highlight is that in just about a 15-minute walk, you can witness the beautiful horizon where the sea meets the sky, and the magnificent, sprawling wooden boardwalk set against a backdrop of blue skies, mountains, and the ocean, making it one of the must-visit photo spots for many influencers and models. Even without a professional camera or photography skills, you can easily capture beautiful photos. After completing the trail, you can head to the indigenous seafood restaurant opposite the parking lot to enjoy a fresh and delicious local specialty meal before continuing your journey.
