North Entrance Signage Area

The North Entrance Signage Area can also be referred to as the East Coast National Scenic Area. On the way from Hualien City towards the Coastal Highway, after crossing the Hualien Bridge – a vital thoroughfare connecting the East Coast and the Rift Valley – turn left and proceed straight for a short distance. You will then spot prominent signs: one for the 'East Coast National Scenic Area' and its English counterpart. This signage area serves as a symbolic landmark, a small open space offering temporary parking for visitors. It's an excellent resting point for cyclists and motorcyclists. While taking a break, visitors can conveniently capture photos of this iconic site, posing with the Chinese and English signs of the East Coast National Scenic Area as a memento of their visit. The North Entrance Signage Area signifies the gateway to the beautiful coastline. Once you pass this area and navigate a bend, you will be welcomed by the most stunning coastline and coastal highway in the east.
