Meilun Coastal Park

Hualien Pacific Park includes the Nanbin and Beibin sections. Nanbin Park is designed along the Nanbin coastline, preserving its original natural landscape. Sitting on the large rocks by the shore, visitors can gaze out at the vast Pacific Ocean and the crescent-shaped 'Huilun New Bay'. Along the seawall, it connects to the Liangtan Bikeway. The park environment is clean, with wide open spaces and benches for pedestrians to rest. Coupled with Hualien's fresh air, it is a great leisure spot for people on weekends or weekdays. The park features a Roman-style central plaza, a parking lot, public restrooms, and a children's playground. The overall design is very convenient for visitors, and its accessible facilities are a boon for the elderly. The Beibin section boasts large 3D painted art installations, including a carp leaping out of water art piece at the entrance, a 3D hand-painted 'Ocean World' mural wall, an extreme sports arena, and a beach volleyball court, making it very popular among young people. Both sections are great destinations for family outings.
