The Two Lakes Cycling Trail starts from Deyan Coastal Botanical Garden, connecting the Qixingtan and Liyu Lake cycling trails. The coastal cycling trail stretches from Nanbin Park or Beibin Park (both located in the seaside area of Hualien City) along the coast road, leading to the Qixingtan Scenic Area. This specific section of the Qixingtan cycling trail begins at the Deyan Coastal Botanical Garden, enters the Qixingtan Scenic Area, and continues south, where a wooden staircase ascends to Sihba Highland. Along the route, you'll be treated to endless vistas of the Pacific Ocean. There are pavilions for occasional rest stops, and interpretive signs are placed to educate visitors about the rich local natural ecology and native plants. If you don't have a bicycle, rental services are readily available at Qixingtan, right next to the Qixingtan Tourist Service Center. The center also provides Hualien travel information and hosts regular events.
