Hualien Port Warehouse 1-1 Venus Gallery

Entering the Hualien Port Waterfront Recreation Area via the Hualien Scenic Bridge, visitors will be greeted by the 'Venus Gallery,' an art space whose exterior is covered in colorful mosaic tiles, transforming the original port warehouse with vibrant energy. With nearly 40 years of history, this vibrant art space is actually one of Hualien's most historic art venues. The entire recreation area is filled with a colorful artistic atmosphere. In front of the gallery stands a monolithic stone art installation called the 'Happy Bluebird Mailbox,' a public art piece. This green mailbox, standing 3.6 meters tall, 168 centimeters in diameter, and weighing 6 metric tons, primarily incorporates local specialties, being crafted from serpentinite and Taiwan jade found in symbiotic mineral deposits. It is the world's only serpentinite mailbox located by the Pacific Ocean.
