The Chuying Bikeway is located next to the Central Mountain Range in Ji'an Township and is composed of two sections: the Ji'an Mountain Line and the Chuying Waterfront Line. The Ji'an Mountain Line starts from Taichang Dashan Bridge, runs alongside the Central Mountain Range, weaving through Ji'an's fields, allowing visitors to experience the rural scenery. Ji'an was one of the government-sponsored immigrant settlements during the Japanese colonial period and still preserves many buildings and commemorative relics from that era, such as the Yoshino Shrine Monument and Ji'an Qingshiu Temple, full of old-world charm with a Japanese style. The Chuying Waterfront Line runs straight between Nanhua Village and Gancheng Village, following the gurgling waters of the Ji'an Great Irrigation Canal, then ascends upstream via the Hydraulic Ecological Trail to the Chuying Power Plant, where the journey ends. The Ji'an Great Irrigation Canal boasts clear water, with wild birds soaring and vibrant green pine forests along its route. The path is not long, making it the perfect choice for those who wish to enjoy a leisurely bike ride through the countryside.
