Chishang Irrigation Park

Chishang Irrigation Park is located in Chishang Township, Taitung County, and is a verdant park that integrates water conservancy engineering, ecological conservation, and rural landscapes. The park is centered around the historic Chishang Canal irrigation system. This canal, excavated during the late Qing Dynasty and expanded and modernized during the Japanese colonial period, irrigates an area of over one thousand hectares. It has become an indispensable source of life for the Chishang farmlands and has also fostered the Chishang Rice culture, renowned throughout Taiwan.
