Jieqiao Rest Area

Jieqiao Rest Area is located at the southernmost tip of Changbin Township, Taitung, separated from Chenggong Township by just one bridge. It is a small community primarily inhabited by the Amis tribe. The name 'Jieqiao' (Boundary Bridge) symbolizes the border between Changbin and Chenggong. In the Amis language, it is called 'Carapongay,' meaning 'a place with much fog,' which reflects the local humid and foggy climate characteristics.
