The Chishang Barn Art Museum is located next to Chishang Train Station. It was converted from Mr. Liang Zheng-xian's own 60-year-old barn, a transformation that took over a year of effort by Professor Chen Kuan-hua and his students from Yuan Ze University. During this period, they delved deep into Chishang's local life, collected memories of Chishang from its residents, and reinterpreted the local spirit and aesthetics. After its opening, it immediately won the Grand Prize and the Owner's Award in the 2019 'Far Eastern Architectural Award – Special Award for Old House Renovation'. The venue regularly hosts flat art and multimedia art exhibitions, and invites renowned artists from Taiwan and abroad to give lectures. This makes the art museum not only a memorial hall preserving local memories, but also an an important cultural hub connecting local culture with domestic and international art trends.
