Huayuan Sunrise Observation Deck

The Huayuan Sunrise Observation Deck, located in Taimali, opened in 2021 and has since become Taitung's newest hidden gem for viewing sunrises and ocean views, succeeding Duoliang Station as a popular spot. The expansive platform not only offers a panoramic view of the M-shaped Huayuan Bay, but also overlooks the traffic on the Southern Link Railway and Provincial Highway 9 below. The dynamic train movements and the tranquil surface of the Pacific Ocean create a picturesque scene, much like a postcard. Nearby, additional scenic spots provide opportunities to fully appreciate the azure blue of Taitung's ocean from various angles.
