Visitor Essentials
Green Island, suspended in the Pacific Ocean, boasts warm Kuroshio currents and diverse underwater topography, making it a world-renowned diving mecca. Strap on an oxygen tank, bring a special postcard, dive into the clear blue Pacific, and head towards the adorable underwater postbox. Drop your postcard, filled with blessings, into the underwater postbox to send it to your heart's desire. The Taitung County Government, in collaboration with Chunghwa Post, has established the world's deepest underwater postbox on a sandy seabed 60 meters offshore and 11 meters deep, within Green Island's Shilang Snorkeling Area. The postbox is shaped like the 'Denise's Pygmy Seahorse,' a precious species unique to Taitung's waters and known as the 'Little Ocean Elf of Green Island.' It is beloved by divers worldwide, and an 'Ocean Heart' artificial reef has been set up nearby, making it Green Island's most popular and unique check-in spot.
