National Taitung Living Aesthetics Center

The National Taitung Living Aesthetics Center is located across the street from the Taitung County Government. The current site was once the Taitung Hall Butokuden during the Japanese colonial period, demolished in 1980 and rebuilt into a modern building. It has now become a cultural and artistic hub in Taitung, promoting aesthetic education and cultivating the artistic environment. Strolling through the brightly lit venue, visitors can view individual works by local artists or themed joint exhibitions in the galleries. From paintings to sculptures, from multimedia creations to mixed-media works, these pieces showcase the artists' passion for art from their unique perspectives. Occasionally, artisans also set up workshops in the exhibition area, inviting visitors to participate in hands-on activities like making glass beads, weaving rush grass, or indigo dyeing, allowing art to integrate into daily life and empowering individuals through creativity.
