Black Oil Pit

The Black Oil Pit is situated on the northern coast of Lyudao Lighthouse. It is a small pool that only becomes visible at low tide. The area surrounding this attraction is a rocky coastline where, during low tide, seawater is trapped by circular reefs and cannot flow out, consequently forming this small pool. Contrary to the imagery conjured by its name, 'Black Oil Pit,' this site not only exhibits characteristics of an intertidal zone but is also remarkably beautiful. Resembling a lagoon, its calm, waveless waters occasionally shimmer with a jewel-like blue-green luster.
