Luanshan Forest Culture Museum

Luanshan is home to Taiwan's mid-to-low altitude primeval forest, containing thousands of precious native white banyan trees. Being amidst them feels like stepping into the fantastical world of Avatar. The native banyan trees here are also known as 'walking trees' because their aerial roots continuously expand and spread. When the original branches wither, the aerial roots take their place, making it seem as if the trees are constantly moving.
