Jinzun Fishing Harbor

Jinzun Fishing Harbor is located in Donghe Township, Taitung County, situated between Xingang Fishing Harbor in Chenggong Township and Fugang Fishing Harbor in Taitung City. Construction began in 1984 (ROC Year 73) and was completed in 1998 (ROC Year 87). Jinzun Fishing Harbor is not only an excellent fishing spot, attracting many anglers throughout the year, but also becomes an outstanding surfing venue starting every November, thanks to the waves brought by the northeast monsoon. Under the promotion of the Taitung County Government, Jinzun Fishing Harbor has been the venue for the 'Taiwan Open of Surfing' since 2011. This event is not only Taiwan's highest-level international surfing competition but also an internationally recognized event by the World Surf League, making Jinzun Fishing Harbor a draw for not only top surfers from across Taiwan but also many international elite athletes.
