Dragon Head Rock

Lanyu's geological strata primarily consist of hornblende-bearing andesitic lava and basaltic agglomerate. Additionally, there are Pleistocene laterite layers, uplifted coral reefs, and Holocene alluvial deposits, colluvial deposits, and coastal fringing reefs. The natural processes of marine erosion and weathering have sculpted Lanyu's most captivating and unique rock formations.
