Warship Rock

Due to the islet's resemblance to a warship, legend has it that during World War II, when American and Japanese forces were fighting near Lanyu (Orchid Island), American aircraft mistook Warship Rock for a battleship at sea and bombed it. This mistaken bombing incident is still fresh in the memory of the elders of the Dongqing tribe.
