Yayo Bay

Lanyu Island, located in the Pacific Ocean, is surrounded by sea on all sides. The streamlined, vibrantly colored traditional outrigger canoes (tatala) of the Tao (Yami) people, resting on the beach of Yayo Bay, create a beautiful scene and are one of Lanyu's most iconic landscapes. Especially at sunset, these canoes lying peacefully on the sand are a favorite subject for tourists and photographers.
