Dabaisha

Green Island is primarily formed by volcanic agglomerates. After prolonged weathering and erosion, it has developed a rugged and jagged coastal landscape, with most of its shores being coral reef rocky coasts. The sand at Dabaisha Beach is formed by the lithification of shells and coral fragments, known as 'beachrock.' There are only two such locations on Green Island, with Dabaisha being the largest, making it a very rare sandy coastal landscape. Beyond the white sandy beach, the coast is still surrounded by coral reefs, featuring an extensive intertidal zone and tide pools rich in marine life, including hermit crabs, crabs, brittle stars, sea slugs, and sea cucumbers.
