Chenggong Fishing Port

Chenggong Fishing Port, also known as Xingang Fishing Port, is the most important fishing port along the Taitung coast. The Xingang Fisheries Building, shaped like a ship, is particularly eye-catching by the harbor. Fishing boats gradually return to the port before noon, and fresh catches are auctioned off one by one starting in the afternoon. Visitors can also witness the lively auction process at the fish market and experience the unique charm of the fishing port (closed on Sundays). Owners or chefs from surrounding seafood restaurants also participate in the bidding, promptly turning fresh seafood into a lavish feast on their tables.
