Binlang (Betel Nut) Old Train Station

Taitung Binlang Station was established in 1922 during Taiwan's period under Japanese colonial rule, originally known as a "train halt." At that time, narrow-gauge trains ran along the old Beinan River, passing through Binlang, Dongcheng, Chulu, Jiafeng, Zhongxing, and terminating at Luye Station. In 1943, Binlang Station was upgraded to a full train station. After Taiwan's retrocession, it was renamed Binlang Station. Following the completion of the Eastern Line railway widening project, Binlang Train Station, along with Jiafeng, Dongcheng, and Chulu (a total of four stations), was decommissioned simultaneously in 1982.
