Visitor Essentials

Guanshan Old Train Station is also known as Lilong Station. In Japanese, "驛" (eki) means "station," while "Lilong" is an Amis word signifying "many red worms" in the area. Guanshan Old Train Station was originally built in Taisho 8 (1919) by Taitung Sugar Co., Ltd. In 1980, a new station was constructed approximately 100 meters away from the old site. After years of disuse, the old station was funded and restored by the Taitung County Government, becoming the only Japanese colonial-era station building on the Eastern Railway Line preserved in its original location.
