Chishang Elevated Canal

The Chishang Canal Loop Bikeway, designed and planned by the Huadong Valley National Scenic Area Administration, spans 8 kilometers with multiple routes. The path is gentle, with an elevation difference of approximately 5 meters. Along the route, the vast farmland scenery is beautiful, featuring numerous scenic spots where visitors can admire the typical Chishang views of flat green fields and charming pastoral landscapes. The large and small waterwheels alongside the elevated canal exude an ancient charm, as if transporting visitors back to the simple farming villages of the 1940s and 50s. With rest pavilions available for a break at any time, it's an excellent destination for a leisurely bike tour, offering a comprehensive exploration of certain areas within Chishang Township. The Chishang Elevated Canal is currently designated as a "Historic Building" by Taitung County.
