Rice Homeland Museum

The Rice Homeland Museum is located by the road on the east side of the Xinkaiyuan Old Farmland Area in Chishang, Taitung. The original building was once an abandoned warehouse of the Wanan Community, and through the collective efforts of the community residents, it has become an an important base for promoting Chishang's rice culture. It offers a wide range of community tours, DIY activities, and travel services, such as traditional earth oven cooking, rice food DIY, and farm experience tours. Bicycles are also available for rent for visitors. Besides showcasing local farm life, it also sells various local agricultural products like Wanan rice, rice vermicelli, and peeled chili peppers. The second floor features a dining area where visitors can enjoy Hakka specialty meals and beverages. It's a one-stop destination for all of Chishang's unique experiences.
