The Tianlong Ancient Trail starts at the Tianlong Suspension Bridge and is approximately 1.1 kilometers long. Before the Southern Cross-Island Highway was opened, the Tianlong Ancient Trail served as the sole external access road for residents of Lidao and other tribal communities. To this day, it remains the only alternative external access road besides the Southern Cross-Island Highway.
