Visitor Essentials
The Sandimen Cultural Center, located in Zhongshan Park in Sandimen Township, was built by the Sandimen Township Office. The site of the Cultural Center was originally a shrine dating back to the Japanese colonial period. It is currently operated by the Dimoru Cultural Industry and Arts Association, serving as a showcase for Sandimen's art and crafts. Inside, the center features a "Cultural Artifacts Exhibition Area," an "Audio-visual Room," a "Lounge," and an "Observation Deck," as well as a tribal kitchen adorned with a giant eagle sculpture. It gathers local artistic creations and industries, fully showcasing the distinctive features of Paiwan culture. Beyond the extensive exhibitions, the plaza on the left features giant elevated pottery jars and indigenous-style totems. The lawn area on the right is another observation deck, where indigenous-style buildings are nestled among lush trees. From the second floor of the observation deck, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the mountains, forests, and streams.
