The "Pingtung Tobacco Factory," established in 1936 and ceased operations in 2002, had its entire complex registered as a historic building in 2017. In spring 2022, it will be reborn with the new identity of "Pingtung Tobacco 1936 Cultural Base," narrating the area's diverse culture from a Pingtung perspective.
