Linnei Station, also known as the Purple Crow Butterfly Garden Linnei Station, was established in Meiji 41 (1908). At that time, it was called Linnei-eki and was the first station on the Trunk Line south of the Zhuoshui River. It connects to Ershui Station to the north and Shiliu Station to the south. In the past, a branch line of Mitsubishi Paper Mills connected to the station. It is currently a third-class station under the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA).
