Yiwu Shuntian Temple

Yiwu Shuntian Temple primarily worships Lord Li, the Third Prince, who is renowned for catching and subduing ghosts. Legend says he was the imperial younger brother of Emperor Taizong Li Shimin of the Tang Dynasty. He sacrificed himself for the nation and ascended to godhood. After wandering the four seas, he was invited by Banjiuliao Mazu from Shuilin and assigned to protect Yiwu Lower Village. Many miraculous tales of Lord Li, the Third Prince, and his brother deities catching ghosts and subduing demons are widely told in this area.
