Boziliao Putian Temple

Located in Bo-dong Village, Sihu Township, the temple primarily worships Lord Wenfu Qiansui, who is said to have arrived by boat. In earlier times, Boziliao had regular ferry services with Longmen Port in Penghu, enjoying a period of great prosperity. Legend has it that while fishermen were catching sand shrimp, they discovered a 'Wang Chuan' (spirit boat) containing the divine tablet and a solemn letter of Lord Wenfu Qiansui, and they collectively brought it back to the village for enshrinement. During World War II, Lord Wen, through a spirit medium in a trance, instructed the devotees of Boziliao not to go out at a specific date and time, thus helping the villagers escape Allied air raids.
