Xinxing Temple, Founding Temple of Doulio Mazu

A tranquil spot in a bustling area—Fanshe Mazu Doulio Xinxing Temple is situated in the lively Dongshi Market district. It primarily worships Mazu and Emperor Shennong. This site was historically known as Fanshe, which was the traditional territory of the Hoanya, a Pingpu indigenous tribe. Consequently, the Mazu worshipped in this temple is also referred to as Fanshe Mazu. Historical records state that Shen Changsheng spearheaded its reconstruction during the Daoguang era, and it underwent further repairs during the Xianfeng era.
